I have been a fan of this series since book one. This is number seven and although the wait has seemed endless it has been well worth it as this is arguably the best of the bunch. Without giving too much away, I had worried that something would be lost in the transitions that Maddie has gone through. We started out with Maddie as a single girl trying to make it as a shoe designer and seven books later she is a wife and mother of twins. It is a credit to the author that as Maddie has evolved we have evolved with her and she has remained a familiar friend. The fun loving cast of characters is still along for the ride-with a new addition or two to keep things interesting. If I could have given this book ten stars I would have. You can't go wrong with this book and really, all that's left to say is-when is the next high heels mystery coming out?Product details

i enjoyed reading this fun and light-hearted, "who-done-it" mystery. the characters are interesting and the plot was intriguing without being too serious or intense. this is well written and gives the reader a chance to gather the clues, along with the characters, to solve the mystery. light and entertaining! i've read them all....waiting for more )
it is reminiscent of my very favorite stephanie plum series. it is the next best thing to janet evanovich's writing style.i really like the plot and characters,
I have now read all of the books in the High Heel Mystery Series & enjoyed EVERY one of them! I couldn't wait to read the next book & now that I am finished with the series I am anxiously waiting for the next book to be published!
These are lighthearted, fun, entertaining & fast reads! Yes, there are typos etc, but this is easy to get over once you get in to the books! Maddie is a ditz of a character, but you soon grow to love her - I think I have a couple of friends like her - LOL!

Maddie Springer along with her sidekick, Dana Dashel, take us on a unforgetable adventure as she tries to solve the murder of Irina Sokolov. The crime takes place on the set of Dancing With Celebrities while Maddie is visiting. When Ricky Montgomery, Dana's boyfriend and Hollywood's most eligible bachelor, is charged with the murder. Maddie has to get involved. How she manages to take care of her twins, keep her husband LAPD Homicide Detective Jack Ramirez in the dark (or so she thinks) and solve the crime will keep you reading until the last page. Another winner for Gemma Halliday!
Love this series but was so disappoint that you didn't write about when the babies were born, Jack's reaction to it all during the whole "babies coming" part & how he handled it. You take up when the babies are 3 mo old. Maddie always gets involved with murders without even trying but seems to manage to solve the crimes. It was interesting how Ricky & Dana were during all his problems.
This is one of those books that will keep u on ur toes and u won't want to put it down at all. In this book Maddie will soon realize that it is really hard to keep a secret from her loving husband. As Maddie and Dana make there way to find out who the murderer is they find it hard to push around 2 twins around in their massive stroller. Read the book to find out all of the details!!!!!!
This story was the best, it gave me the ending I was looking for with all characters involved. I loved it! I can't say much more without giving the story away, but it's a definite must read in the series. I have to admit, I love this series, but I was starting to question my continued reading of the series, because you could pretty much figure out the story, just different characters. Maddie decides to sneak behind Ramirez' back to solve the murder, her friends/family help, at some point she gets hit on the head, & in the end someone ends up saving her life...but this story is a little different. You become vested in these other characters over time & you want their lives to develop as well, & you get that with this book. Enjoy!
